Man arrested on motorcycle reported as stolen from Marion County

A 29-year-old man was arrested after he was spotted riding a motorcycle reported stolen out of Marion County.

Joseph Brandon South of Summerfield was riding the black 2014 Honda Ruckus at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Wildwood, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He was pulled over after rolling through a stop sign, the report indicated.

In addition to South not having a valid driver’s license, the police officer discovered the motorcycle had been reported stolen in Marion County.

South was arrested on a charge of grand theft in addition to a charge of driving while license suspended. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
