A 42-year-old Fruitland Park man was arrested at his home after a woman called 911.

Fruitland Park police were called at about 11 p.m. Wednesday to 418 Sunny Court. A woman told police that Michael Nicholls had become upset because she had called police earlier due to a verbal altercation. Nicholls allegedly told her to “watch her back.”

When she tried to call 911 a second time, he attempted to take her phone away.

Nicholls was arrested on charges of domestic battery and depriving use of 911.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $10,000.
