‘Leave the paths alone’ leads in Villages-News.com poll

Residents responding to a Villages-News.com poll on enhanced safety on the multi-modal paths appear to be in favor of leaving the paths alone.

As of Saturday afternoon, 61 percent of respondents to the poll were in favor of the leaving the paths alone and seeing people act more responsibly.

Another 23 percent are in favor of centerline striping on the paths. Thermoplastic sideline was favored by 9 percent of respondents while painting sideline stripes was favored by 7 percent of respondents.

The poll will remain online at www.villages-news.com this weekend ahead of Monday’s meeting of the Project Wide Advisory Committee, representatives of Community Development Districts 1 through 4 and a representative of the Amenity Authority Committee. At that meeting, at 9 a.m. at Savannah Center, the members will revisit a July 6 vote to go ahead with Thermoplastic side striping.
