Leonard LiPuma, 85, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016. Leonard went to be with his beloved Santa, who preceded him in death in 2015. He was born in Petralia Soprana, Italy to Alberta and Pietro LiPuma. He came to the United States in 1947 to New York where he lived until moving to Florida in 1993. He and Santa moved to Del Webb Spruce Creek Country Club in 1998, one of the original residents. Leonard worked as a carpenter for the US Dept. of the Army at Ft. Totten in Bayside, New York for many years. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview, The Kitchen Club of Del Webb and played dominoes and various card games in the community.

He is survived by a daughter, Lorraine LiPuma; son, Peter LiPuma and son-in-law, Edmond Madigan of Summerfield; grandchildren; Donald Moore(Jane); great grandchildren Arianna Moore, Samuel Leonard Moore; brother, Joseph LiPuma (Victoria); nephew, Christopher LiPuma (Megan); aunt, Angelina LaPlaca and numerous cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Leonard and Santa will be placed together as they wished.
