Motorcyclist in critical condition after collision with Chevy Tahoe

A 55-year-old Dunnellon man was in critical condition after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with Chevy Tahoe on Thursday evening in Citrus County.

Steven Clark Gaither had been riding the motorcycle at 6 p.m. on U.S. 19 when he struck the rear end of the Tahoe driven by William G. Marshall, 74, of Lebanon, Tenn., according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Gaither was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center. He had been wearing a helmet, the report indicated.

Marshall suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the Tahoe, 69-year-old Lelia Marshall also of Lebanon, Tenn. also suffered minor injuries.
