Six more homes approved for annexation on Historic Side of The Villages

Six more homes on the Historic Side of The Villages have been approved for annexation into Lady Lake by the town’s Planning and Zoning Board.

The approval was granted Monday evening for the following properties:

• 1015 Vermont Avenue

• 1305 Debra Drive

• 828 Silver Oak Avenue

• 816 Weeping Willow Avenue

•1240 Dustin Drive

• 812 Tarrson Boulevard

Five of the properties have already had manufactured homes removed. The sixth property will soon have a manufactured home removed.

The Villages has been steadily removing manufactured homes on the Historic Side and replacing them with site-built homes.

Homes located in the “enclaves” or Lake County portion of The Villages are being annexed into the town. You can read more about the history of the enclaves HERE

An ordinance to provide for the annexation will be heard for first reading July 6 by the Lady Lake Commission. Second and final reading will be July 18.
