Villager held without bond after violating probation on DUI charge

A Villager is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail after he was picked up Friday on a Marion County warrant charging him with a probation.

Kenneth Dale Pelfrey, 66, of 1230 E. Schwartz Blvd., originally had been arrested May 17, 2014 on a charge of driving under the influence U.S. Hwy. 441.

He pleaded guilty to the charge on June 13 in Marion County Court. He was placed on probation for one year, ordered to consume no alcohol for a year, ordered to undergo random screenings, fined $500 and his driver’s license was suspended for six months.

A warrant had been issued April 6 for a probation violation.
