Villager hopes to build mini-storage facility on Micro Race Track Road

A Villager wants to build a mini-storage facility on 2.96 acres on Micro Race Track Road.

His plan will go before the Fruitland Park Commission for approval this week. The commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.

Villager Ken Page has already received approval from the city’s planning and zoning board for the mini-storage facility.

The plan calls for a total of seven buildings to be constructed on what is now vacant land across from Speedway Park at 35400 Micro Race Track Road.

The owner will pay all line charges to run a waterline from County Road 466A to the property where the mini warehouses will be located. The site will include trailer/RV parking.

The Villages is preparing to build 2,000 homes not far from the proposed site. The Villages has already been clearing brush and debris at the former Pine Ridge Dairy site in advance of construction later this year.
