A resident of the Village of Santiago was arrested after he was found to be in possession of drugs after a traffic stop.

David C. Donofrio, 47, who lives on Castillo Drive, was pulled over early Friday morning by a Lake County sheriff’s deputy on U.S. Hwy. 441 after it was noticed that a taglight was inoperative.

A K-9 alerted on Donofrio’s vehicle, indicating the presence of drugs.

A search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia, cocaine, methamphetamine, Alprazolam and Hydrocodone.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $9,000.

Donofrio had been arrested earlier this year after allegedly breaking a window in an apartment complex on his way home from Bikefest.
