Vincent Anthony Geritano, 70, of The Villages, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015. Vincent and his wife Sandy, natives of Brooklyn, moved to The Villages in 2003 from Sterling, VA. He had retired from United Airlines after 38 years of service. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. Vincent was very soft spoken and a true gentleman. He loved children and was a favorite of all the children of the family. Vinny enjoyed playing softball and socializing with friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Mario Geritano. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Raiola Geritano; sons, Vincent (Jill Renee) of Harrisburg, PA, Steven(Jill Marie) of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Addison, Jackson and Hudson; sister, Louise di Martino; brothers, Bart, Louis and Thomas and extended family. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; Feed the Children, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and Wounded Warriors. A memorial service will be held on Febuary 27, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 1511 Buenos Aires Boulevard, The Villages, FL. The family will receive friends immediately following until 5 p.m.
