Rays win with walkoff HR, now 1-2 in ALDS

ALDS LogoThe Tampa Bay Rays pulled off a thrilling victory over the Boston Red Sox in game 3 of the American League Divisional Series.

The team was tied going into the bottom of the 9th inning. With two outs, Jose Lobaton stepped up to the plate and belted a solo home run to propel the Rays to their first win in the series.

The Red Sox held a 1-0 lead into the 5th, when they extended their lead to 3. The teams traded a run apiece thereafter, and both had opportunities for go-ahead runs before the 9th inning.

Game 4 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, 2013, in Tampa. The Rays trail face elimination (1-2) and will try to extend their season with a win.
