Dominic Berardi appointed to North Sumter utility board

The Sumter County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday appointed Villager Dominic Berardi to fill a vacant seat on the North Sumter County Utility Dependent District.

The vacancy had been created by the resignation of board member Fred Gibbons, head of Compass HRM, a company that manages human resources for The Villages. Gibbons cited time constraints as the reason for his resignation.

The North Sumter County Utility Dependent District serves Districts 5, 6, 7 and 8 in Sumter County.
