Helen H. Kovach

Helen H. Kovach, 84, of The Villages, FL passed away on October 11, 2014. Helen was born February 19, 1930 in Littleton, West Virginia, and spent the majority of her life in northern Ohio before moving to The Villages in 2004. She was married to Joe, the love of her life, in May of 1954. Helen was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and enjoyed playing golf, bocce ball, poker and dancing. She was especially fond of family, and often enjoyed large gatherings with family and friends at her home. Those who knew her understood what a kind and giving person she was, and we will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe of The Villages, FL; daughter Sandra Kovach of The Villages, FL; son Joe Kovach and his wife Julia of New Albany, OH; son John Kovach and his wife Dorota of Peachtree City, GA; grandchildren: John, Stephanie, Paige and Evan Kovach; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., and will take place at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in The Villages (7081 SE Hwy 42, Summerfield, FL 34491). A reception will follow for family and friends at Mulberry Grove Recreation Center- Spirit Room (8445 SE 165th Mulberry Lane, The Villages, FL 32159), from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a lunch catered by Oakwood Smokehouse and Grill. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Haven of Lake and Sumter Counties, Inc.
