An 80-year-old Villager was ticketed on a charge of careless driving after a collision with a landscaper’s Gator utility vehicle that sent the driver to the hospital.

A Valley Crest landscaper, 29-year-old Daniel Santos of Ocala, had been traveling south on Avenida Central near Alverez Avenue at 2 p.m. June 9 when his vehicle was struck by four-door automobile driven by Arthur J. Pawlus, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
