Golfers can look forward to improvements at three executive golf courses

Golfers can look forward to improvements at three executive golf courses in The Villages.
The #5 green at the Amberwood golf course is being moved approximately 30 yards closer to the tees. The surface area will be enlarged and in an area more conducive to grow the specialized Bermuda grass required on the putting surface. The renovations are behind schedule approximately two weeks due to bare soil being exposed to heavy rains; however, the contractors are diligently working to make up for the delay.
A new practice putting green facility is being constructed at Chula Vista and Mira Mesa golf courses. The new golf practice green is being located near the swimming pool at the Chula Vista Recreation center. This will make for easy access and parking is already in place on the multi-modal path.
All of the upgrades are scheduled to by complete by Sept. 30.
