Gate pass at the ‘Lowe’s gate’ should have push button

To the Editor:

I call that gate the “Lowe’s gate” in Country Club Hills for lack of a better name to call it ! The gate where the “Morse wall” went up and caused so much controversy a couple of years ago.

There is no push button on that gate. It is a card only gate and yesterday I went to a Doctors appointment over there in my cart. I forgot my gate card in my car so when I tried to go through to go home, I was stuck. I waited for someone to have pity on me and let me in on their card, even after showing my Villages ID. NO one would allow me in and I had to sit and wait for my husband to get home to come and get me…2 hours later! No, I didn’t have my cell phone with me because it’s not allowed in the waiting rooms so I left it home.

Why don’t they put in a button on that gate? This is not being done because they are trying to keep Stonecrest people out? They’re going to drive in with their cars anyway so what difference does it make?
