Poor service, higher bills from cable company

To the Editor:

Many residents both permanent and snowbirds are using Comcast/Xfinity for their internet/cable TV and telephone. Come the end of December many of us experienced a deterioration in service albeit our bills did not reduce. We currently pay over $250 a month for the Comcast service but we were told when calling about our service that due to more people using the cable connection in The Villages and our area that our service and signal could be up to 50 percent of normal and we will have to accept our TV screen cracking up, Internet dropping and maybe not getting that important call from the family or call 1-800-Comcast and get them to re-boot your system.
Maybe, when we get our bills we should just pay 50 percent of the bill for the 50 percent of service supplied.
Or maybe we change to Brighthouse! Would that be better?
Love to here your experience or if you have a good contact in customer services let it become public.
