A new restaurant is coming to the former home of Texas Stockyards.

A former Spanish Springs Town Square restaurant has a new home and will be opening next month.

Athens NY restaurant left Spanish Springs this past November after The Villages opted not to renew its lease. A new restaurant is expected to open in mid-July at that same location. You can read more about that HERE

Athens NY will be reborn as Athena NY Diner at the former home of Texas Stockyards on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake. Texas Stockyards was operated by a Villages couple and ends its three-year run at that location. Prior to Texas Stockyards, that building had been home to the Silver Cricket restaurant.

The new restaurant will feature American, Greek and BBQ specials.

It will be owned and operated by Christopher and Elena Kitinos.
