Firearms were stolen from two vehicles in Summerfield overnight Tuesday.
In the first case, a woman living on SE 98th Court reported that when she went to her vehicle at 6 a.m. Wednesday to go to work, she noticed the driver’s side door of her vehicle ajar, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Missing from the driver’s side door panel was the woman’s .9mm pistol.
In the second case, another woman reported a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol had been removed from the glovebox of her vehicle which had been parked overnight on SE 89th Terrace. She discovered the missing firearm at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
