Driver arrested on DUI charge after spotted driving without headlights

A driver was arrested Thursday evening on a charge of driving under the influence after he was spotted driving without headlights.

Ismael Acosta, 55, of Summerfield, had been driving a 1993 Ford Mustang west on SE Hwy. 42 without headlights when a deputy spotted the vehicle at 8:15 p.m., according to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report.

Acosta was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and was transported to the Marion County Jail without incident. His bond was set at $500.
