A Ypsilanti, Mich. man was arrested Sunday after a CSX locomotive made an unplanned stop in Wildwood for the removal of the unwanted train jumper.
Lawrence Darneil Lewis, 26, was found on the 77th train car, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He told police he wanted to get out of Florida and that he had been riding on the train car for about 80 miles.
He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized riding on a train. Bond was set at $500.
