Liz Shen

Liz Shen, 52, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on October 7, 2017 after a battle with lung cancer. She was born in 1964 to her parents, Maurice and Rachel Guller.

She was the wife of Thomas Shen, MD. Survivors include her children Max, Alan, and Anna Shen; sister Margie (Brad) Hartman and brother Jim Guller. Liz was the sister-in-law of Jerome and Bridget (Brennan) Shen, Betty (Frank) Burke, Fran (Randy) Hixson, Li (late)(Roger) Poppen.

She was a beloved aunt, cousin and friend to many. Liz was also a long-time supporter of The Friends of the Leesburg Library, The Boys and Girls Club of LSCC, and Congregation Beth Sholom. Liz was an avid traveler, reader, dog lover, wine aficionado, and Mother.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Congregation Beth Sholom of Leesburg, 315 N. 13th Street, Leesburg, FL34748. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens of Leesburg, FL.

Donations may be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Lake and Sumter Counties or to Lung Cancer Research Association, 155 East 55th Street, Suite H, New York, New York 10022.
