Magazine photographer’s camera bag stolen at Circle Square Cultural Center in Ocala

A magazine photographer’s camera bag was reportedly stolen Thursday at Circle Square Cultural Center in Ocala.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy made contact with the victim in reference to a theft, according to an incident report. The victim advised that she was a photographer with Gainesville Magazine and was at the Circle Square Cultural Center, located at 8395 SW 80th St., to take photos for the “Best of the Best” event. She stated that she placed her camera bag containing the stolen items by a backdrop, while she took photos of the participants. At around 8:30 p.m., the backdrop had fallen and covered her camera bag. The photographer attempted to fix the backdrop and then walked a short distance away to take more photos. Upon her return, she noticed that her camera bag was gone. It’s an estimated loss of $3,650.
