A woman was arrested early Sunday afternoon after Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a domestic disturbance at a Summerfield home.
When deputies arrived at the house on SE 145th Street shortly after noon, they spoke with a woman who told them that 35-year-old Erin Nicole Hill and a man had been involved in a verbal altercation. The man confirmed the argument to deputies but said it didn’t get physical, a sheriff’s office report states.
Hill, of Summerfield, told deputies the same thing, but during a search of the house deputies found a temporary injunction against repeat violence on the man she was arguing with. The permanent injunction hadn’t yet been served, the report says.
Under the guidelines of the temporary injunction, Hill isn’t allowed to be within 500 feet of the man’s residence. She also is isn’t allowed to contact him or to have anybody else contact him “by any form of communication” on her behalf, the report says.
Hill was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with contempt of court for violating the protective domestic violence injunction. She was being held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in a Marion County courtroom on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. to answer to the charge.
All told, Hill has spent time in the Marion County Jail four times since January 2003.
