A car backed into the path of a golf cart Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a swimming pool in The Villages.

The accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the swimming pool in the Village of Hemingway.

A golf cart was towed from the scene of a crash Sunday afternoon at the Hemingway Pool.

The accident was being investigated by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

A witness told Villages-News.com that a woman in the golf cart had suffered an injury to her leg.

The golf cart was towed from the scene by Kart Aide.
