Villages Charter School Chromebook stolen from vehicle at The Quarters Apartments

A Villages Charter School Chromebook was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake.

A 42-year-old woman’s 2014 Jeep Compass had been parked Jan. 26 at the apartment complex, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Sometime overnight, someone removed a black, gray and red backpack from the vehicle. The backpack, which belonged to the woman’s 11-year-old son, contained the Chromebook.

The woman told police she forgot to lock her vehicle.
