Fruitland Park man arrested after leaving scene of multi-vehicle crash

Timothy Todd Birmingham

A Fruitland Park man was arrested after leaving the scene of a multi-vehicle crash.

The accident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday at a red light at Palm Street and State Road 25 in Fruitland Park. There were three vehicles at the redlight when the multi-rear-end collision occurred, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

The trail led to the home of 43-year-old Timothy Todd Birmingham, of 36023 Poinsettia Ave. It was determined that Birmingham, who would not provide a statement, did not have a valid driver’s license in Florida. His license had been suspended in Michigan for a driving under the influence arrest.

Birmingham was arrested on charges of driving while license suspended and leaving the scene of an accident. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $6,000 bond.
