Donald G. Seaman

Donald Seaman

Donald G. Seaman, 90, of The Villages, Florida left this earthly home to be with his heavenly Father on September 19, 2020. His family was blessed with his long and loving life. He now knows the secrets that Heaven holds.

Don was born on October 22, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late George A. and Mary J. Seaman. He attended Wilkinsburg High School. He joined the army and became a member of the 64th Engineer Topographic Battalion where he was stationed in Korea and Japan. After his service, he worked for E.L. Weigand Co in Pittsburgh. Don loved to work in his garage and was a skilled handyman to those in need. He loved the Lord and his family and he loved to play cards. More recently, Don learned to play Samba in The Villages and enjoyed time spent with his companion, Hennie Goldensohn.

Those who went before him will be happy to welcome him with open arms to his new home: his wife of 56 years, D. Sue and his youngest daughter, Jenny Saylor, and of course his parents, brother Ed and sister Dolores.

Don is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann and Terry Haenel; his oldest daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Charlie Hannum; five grandchildren, John, Autumn, Chas, Aubrey and Nicole and their spouses and 5 great grandchildren. All were privileged to be able to spend time with him during his last days on earth.

Being a kind and religious man, Don asked those whom he loved to always be kind to all. We hope that you also will be kind to all. If you would like to honor his memory, please consider donating to the National Kidney Foundation
