21-year-old loses election bid but says he’ll keep on trying

Even though he was unsuccessful in his attempt to unseat an incumbent Lady Lake commissioner, a 21-year-old candidate isn’t giving up on politics.

Andrew Lo Faro, a pre-med student, was defeated Tuesday night by incumbent Commissioner Tony Holden.

Lo Faro, who lives in the April Hills subdivision and is active in the music program at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, congratulated Commissioner Holden on his victory.

“I did what I said I wanted to do, I got my name out there,” Lo Faro said.

He added that he might try again in the future.

He added that the Town of Lady Lake, “is in good hands.”
