Donna Rae Mathison

Donna Rae Mathison, 86, of The Villages, FL went to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 5, 2017.  She was born in Minneapolis, MN and came to The Villages in 2001 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Mrs. Mathison was a consummate mother, grandmother, and wonderful homemaker.  Her love was dancing, flowers, sewing, family, friends, and her Lord.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheri Brennan in 1995. She is survived by her husband of 68 yrs., Lyle; sons, Ronald (Margaret) Mathison of Port St. Lucie, FL and Roger (Renee) Mathison of Paulsbo, WA; daughter, Jenny Rae (Paul) Mudgett of Bartow, FL; brother, Dennis (Karen) Gjerdingen of The Villages, FL; sister, Jacque Huntoon of Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Shelly Rae Schmucker, Sean Mathison, Alan Mathison, Chris Brennan, and Gabrielle Mathison; great grandchildren, Peyton, Shay, and Rowan Mathison and Charlotte Rae and Freddy Schmucker.

Visitation and Service

Visitation will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages, FL on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Services will follow at 10:30 am.

Interment

Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 250 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages, FL 32162 or to The Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
