Woman arrested after spotted walking out of Wal-Mart with purple suitcase

A woman was arrested after she was spotted walking out of Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza with a purple suitcase.

A loss prevention officer spotted Dessie Lanae Kight, 37, of Gainesville, at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday walking out of the store with a purple Protege 28-inch suitcase in a shopping cart, according to an arrest report from the Sumter Count Sheriff’s Office. In the suitcase were two pair of denim jeans shorts and a bottle of Tylenol Extra Strength P.M. The items had a total value of $89.91.

Kight was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond.
