Two shooting victims airlifted from Lake Panasoffkee to Ocala Regional Medical Center

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office responded at 12:53 a.m. Saturday to a reported shooting at 2815 CR 426-A in Lake Panasoffkee. Upon arrival, deputies found two people who had been shot.

Preliminary information is that there was an altercation between two males after one of the men came to the home armed with a firearm. During that physical altercation, shots were fired resulting in multiple gunshot wounds to both men.

Both of the men who were shot were airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center for their injuries. Both were listed in stable condition.
