‘Proud cracker’ from Lady Lake arrested after boasting of racially motivated tire slashing

Noah Lynn McDonald

A Lady Lake man who described himself as a proud cracker was arrested after an apparent racially motivated tire slashing on Halloween night in Eustis.

Noah Lynn McDonald, 25, of 308 Griffin View Drive, was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief after slashing a tire of a 2010 red Cadillac SUV, according to an arrest report from the Eustis Police Department.

When police arrived on the scene on Dellwood Drive, McDonald appeared to be intoxicated. His brother said he and McDonald had been playing with a chainless chainsaw “because it was Halloween.”

McDonald had a knife in a sheaf on his hip, according to the report. He boasted of slashing the tire. He professed hatred of minorities and described himself as a “proud cracker.”

The woman who owns the Cadillac was unaware of the damage until she was contacted by police.

McDonald has a long history of previous arrests.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $1,000.
