34-year-old Tavares motorcyclist killed in crash in Lake County

A 34-year-old Tavares motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday morning in Lake County.

Michael Richards was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner.

He had been riding a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle at 6:10 a.m. Friday at Round Lake Road and Wolf Branch Road when a 2012 Dodge pickup driven by 25-year-old Angel Alloway of Sorrento drove into the motorcycle’s path, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

She suffered minor injuries and was transported to Florida Waterman Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

Richards had not been wearing a helmet, the report noted.
