Villages resident and longtime fan to appear this week on popular game show

Villager and longtime “Wheel of Fortune” viewer Susan Baldwin is scheduled to appear on the popular game show Thursday, May 10.

The mother of two, who retired to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown after nearly 40 years in the bowling industry, is married and enjoys traveling and cooking. She will be competing as part of “Spa Getaway” week.

Baldwin has been tuning into “Wheel of Fortune” for many years. She originally watched the show with her parents and now enjoys it with her husband. After not missing an episode for years, she applied to be a contestant by submitting a video to WheelofFortune.com.

“Wheel of Fortune” airs weeknights on WFTV, channel 9, at 7:30 p.m.

The Villages has a strong connection with the game show. Vanna White has twice visited The Villages.
