The Marcus Welby scenario was totally bogus

To the Editor:

I agree that The Villages Regional Hospital is not good. Waiting times in emergency are awful. Like eight hours. And the service once you are admitted is very poor.
I needed a catheter, and none was available for two days. And when I was cleared for release, it took two days and my threatening to walk out before I could get a release.  I would never go back there, prefer other area hospitals.
And how about The Villages forcing 40,000 residents to give up Medicare so they could be pushed into an advantage plan? The Marcus Welby scenario was totally bogus.
