This summer, readers will explore all things science as the Sumter County Library System presents “Fizz, Boom, Read!!”

The free programs will include John Storms – World of Reptiles, Mad Science, Germ Glow, Fritzy Brothers One-Man Circus, Star Stories and more. Programs are open to children ages 5 to 12.

For a complete schedule of summer programs, please stop by your local library and pick up a brochure or visit the library’s online calendar of events at www.sumtercountyfl.gov/library.

The library will host a special kick-off program featuring “Animal Gross-Out” presented by the Orlando Science Center.  The program will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 6 at The Villages Public Library at Pinellas Plaza.  Children will enjoy fun, educational hands-on activity stations. The activities will include Squiddin’ Around, Owl Pellets, Scat Match and more. Participants will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win four Orlando Science Center general admission tickets.
