AAC candidate Lowell Barker picks up endorsement from POA

Amenity Authority Committee candidate Lowell Barker has picked up the endorsement of the Property Owners’ Association of the Villages.
Barker has the distinction of being endorsed by both the POA and the Villages Homeowners Association. He was endorsed over rival candidates Richard Jones and Frank Kirschenheiter for the Lady Lake/Lake County seat now held by Jo Weber.
In other AAC races, the POA endorsed incumbent Carl Bell over challenger Tom Fetherling. The POA endorsed challenger Marty Rothbard over incumbent Ann Forrester.
Here’s a look at POA endorsement in Community Development District races.
CDD 1
The POA endorsed incumbents Ellen Cora over Craig Estep and Clyde Long over Peter Pittsburgh.
CDD 5
The POA endorsed Carolyn Reichel over incumbent Gerald Knoll.
CDD 6
The POA endorsed challenger Donna Kempa over incumbent Russ D’Emidio
CDD 7 
The POA did not take a position on this race.
CDD 8
The POA endorsed challenger Ray Banks over incumbent Duane Johnson for Seat 4 for Seat 4 and Victor Ray over Dick Wedding for Seat 3.
“The POA Board of Directors takes seriously its role in endorsing candidates for the AAC and our numbered Districts. Each of the candidates that the POA has endorsed have demonstrated that he or she is a “Strong Advocate of Residents’ Rights” and that they will work toward seeing that our local governments are responsive to the needs and best interests of residents,” the POA said in making its endorsements.
