K-9 assists in marijuana arrest on County Road 466

A 20-year-old Lady Lake man was arrested after a K-9 alerted on his vehicle after a traffic stop Friday night on County Road 466.

Travis Robert Barber was pulled over at 9:30 p.m. after a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy spotted an inoperable taillight on his vehicle.

A K-9 alerted on the vehicle, leading to the discovery of marijuana in the ashtray of the car. Rolling papers were also found, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Barber was booked at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on $2,000 bond.
