Paul Simmons, 87, The Villages, FL died on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Mr. Simmons was born in Akron, OH and moved to The Villages in 2011. He retired from United Technologies Corporation in Norwalk, CT where he managed the Electrical Engineering Division. He was an avid golfer and loved traveling. Mr. Simmons was a proud World War II veteran, serving in the Navy from 1943 to 1946 and then again from 1946-1949. He is survived by his partner Linda, his brother Dick, 4 children: Mike, Nancy, Beth and Amy and ten grandchildren. Mr. Simmons will be inurned at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight, P.O. Box 490, Lady Lake, FL 32158-0490.
