Marjorie Ann Peschel Wessels Grefsheim, of Water Oak, Lady Lake Florida, was born Feb 25, 1923 in the Beverly area of Chicago. After High School she worked at The Tribune/Walgreen Building on Michigan Avenue. She met Albert H. Wessels through family friends and they were married on Dec 19, 1942. She continued work while her husband served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II and they began a family of seven children living in the greater Chicago, Decatur and Peoria Illinois areas. She was always a loving, caring influence on her children, continually emphasizing their Catholic faith and what was right. Her good counsel and memories of her life have provided her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren fond remembrances. She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Albert H. Wessels, her husband, Roger Grefsheim, her sister Sue McLaughlin, her brother Father Joseph Peschel, S.J., her son James A. Wessels and grandson Keenan Washington. She is survived by son Tom (Linda) Wessels of Atlanta, daughter Barbara (David) Watson of Virginia Beach, daughter Nancy (Jim) Fields of St Louis, daughter Diane (Scott) Meyer of St Petersburg, son Mark (Rene) Wessels of Seattle, son Matt (Karen) Wessels of Seneca, SC and three sisters Jeannie, Betsy and Pat. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, FL. Memorial donations, may be made to St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
