Lady Lake leaders have hailed this move by The Villages as a positive for the Historic Side and the community.

The properties are being annexed into the Town of Lady Lake, whereas before many of them had remained in “enclaves” under Lake County. You can read more about the history of the enclaves HERE

The Lady Lake Planning and Zoning voted 3-0 to forward the matter to the Lady Lake Commission. The commission will hear the first reading of the ordinance on Jan. 20 and the second reading will be on Feb. 1.
