Community Development District 1 Supervisor Craig Estep was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday.
He suffered multiple breaks and a collapsed lung, according to District Manager Janet Tutt.
He remains hospitalized in Gainesville.
Estep, a resident of the Village of Hacienda North, was chosen to serve on the CDD 1 board in March.
He lived in Iowa and Texas before moving to The Villages more than two years ago. He flew EMS helicopters.
