Sex offender living in The Villages lands back behind bars

A 41-year-old sex offender living in The Villages has been jailed without bond on a sex offender violation.

Elisha Matthew Ian McNutt was booked at 10:27 p.m. Friday at the Sumter County Detention Center. He resides at 2463 Laurel Bay Lane in the Village of Lynnhaven, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

He was convicted in 2004 of sodomy with a child under the age of 12 and three counts of indecent acts with a child under the age of 12.

In 2011 in Sumter County Court, he was convicted of failure to register as a sexual offender and placed on five years probation.
