Wildwood man arrested after allegedly kicking mother in knee

A Wildwood man was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly kicking his mother in the knee.

Tyrone Bernard Davilmar, 28, is facing a felony charge of battery following his arrest by Wildwood police.

Officers had been called to the 600 block of Second Street after Davilmar allegedly kicked his mother in the knee and hip area, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. When an officer tried to place him under arrest, he attempted to flee, the arrest report indicated.

A criminal history check showed a previous arrest on a charge of battery for which Davilmar was sentenced to probation.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
