Fruitland Park man jailed on probation violation

A 36-year-old Fruitland Park man has been jailed on a probation violation and is being held without bond in the Lake County Jail.

Carl Christiansen Byerley was arrested Aug. 12 by Fruitland Park police.

He had been placed on probation in 2013 in connection with a 2012 arrest on a charge of possession of cocaine.

He is scheduled to appear Sept. 8 in Lake County Court.
