Christmas trees are up at the squares and it won’t be long before the lights go on

It’s time to light up the Town Squares for the Holiday season.
The Villages’ holiday tradition of Tree Lighting Festivals will be held at the three Town Squares.
Billie Thatcher, the popular singer and entertainer, hosts the festivities and will get help from The Villages Twirlers and Drum Corps; The Villages Cheerleaders and other local performing groups.
Below is the schedule. The traditional Candle Distribution takes place just before the actual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which starts at 7 p.m:
Monday, Nov. 30, 4-9 p.m. at Spanish Springs Town Square. Sensation will perform on the main stage.
Wednesday, Dec. 2, 4-9 p.m. at Lake Sumter Landing. Kathleen Kane performs on the main stage.
Friday, Dec. 4, 4-9 p.m. at Paddock Square. Scooter the DJ is on the main stage.
