Man arrested in death of woman in motorcycle crash at County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road

A man who had been driving a motorcycle in a May 14 accident that claimed the life of his female passenger, has been arrested in connection with her death.

Bryan Barnash, 58, of Clermont, is facing a charge of DUI manslaughter in connection with the death of 58-year-old Diane Lanthier. The accident occurred at the intersection of Rolling Acres Road and County Road 466.

He was booked at 1:44 p.m. Thursday at the Lake County Jail. Bond has been set at $30,000.

Barnash had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, according to the Lady Lake Police Department, which investigated the accident. Blood tests revealed his blood alcohol level had been .159 on the night of the accident.

Barnash and Lanthier had been flown by helicopter from the scene of the accident to Ocala Regional Medical Center. Lanthier died May 18 from injuries suffered in the crash.
