Expect delays along route of 5K race Saturday at Brownwood

Those in the Brownwood area are being warned to expect delays Saturday morning due to the 5K race.
Those in the Brownwood area are being warned to expect delays Saturday morning due to the 5K race.

Be aware that The Villages biggest 5K will be taking place on Saturday, Oct. 29.  The race will both start and finish at Brownwood Paddock Square.  Runners and walkers will be sharing a portion of the Multi-Modal Path with non-participants in golf carts, on bicycles and other users.  There will be one-way lanes dedicated to the 5K participants and the other lanes will be for normal use.  The race begins at 8 a.m. and will be completed no later than 10 a.m.  During this time, use utmost caution to keep everyone safe.  The link below shows the race route.
