Alice Marie Steinke, 73, of Summerfield, FL, passed from this life Saturday, December 3, 2016.
She was born in Texarkana, TX on September 1, 1943. Alice was a graduate of Jonathan Dayton Regional High School, Springfield, NJ.
Alice retired as an Administrative Assistant from the Employer’s Association of Florida, Longwood, FL. She came to this area from South Plainfield, NJ in 1984.
Alice was a member of the Village View Community Church, Summerfield. She enjoyed animals, especially cats. Cooking and flower arranging were activities she enjoyed participating in. Alice leaves her husband, Leigh N. Steinke; daughters, Sharon Lynn Shields (Bruce) Deltona, FL; Patricia Susan Whitaker (Sam), Orange City, FL; son, Robert Charles Williamson, Norfolk, VA; step-son, David Steinke (Whitney) Houston, TX; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 3 to 4 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Leesburg Humane Society, Leesburg, FL (leesburghumanesociety.com) or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org)
